FAQ’S
How do I know which Massage to go for?
My rule of thumb is, if you’re starting off, our Natural Flow is a great introduction to full body Massage. An hour is all you need to fall in love with massage. If it’s your first massage, we can use gentle techniques to begin with. Our job is to help you find what is right for you.
However if you are coming to us with problem areas, pains or it has been a while since your last massage, you may need at least a Deep Waters (90 mins) or Shore Soothe (105 min). This is so we can use the time to really work with those problem areas and have you feeling the best after your appointment.
If you have had massages but aren’t sure what would be best for you right now, feel free to contact us for some advice. We will always recommend what we believe will be right for you.
What should I do if I’m worried about getting a Massage?
I completely understand… a lot of people are unsure about Massage or nervous when going to a new therapist. My first priority is for my client’s safety and wellbeing. If you’re comfortable I’m happy. We will have a consultation beforehand to discuss things. You can also comment on one of our boxes when booking anything you would like to let us know. I also continue the communication throughout certain periods of the massage to ensure you’re happy.
How do I know if I’m ok to have a Massage?
If you have a particular condition, I recommend asking your GP if and what kind of massage is acceptable for you. We also have a box when booking asking you to mention any health conditions which we read over beforehand and contact you if there are any issues. We also use this information to help make your massage specifically beneficial to you.
Can I get injured?
No. We take our work very seriously. We won’t massage you unless we are confident that you are in a fit state for one. We also are qualified in knowing how and when to apply pressure as well as how to handle areas on and around injury and will ask you on pressure. However, some forms of massage can cause bruising and redness depending on your body type and how we have been working on an area such as knots.
I have had a flare-up or injured myself, can you help without notice?
Of course, we’ll try to! We can’t predict when these things happen, and we understand that. If this happens, always message us. You’ve got nothing to lose, and we don’t want the injury or flare up of pain to worsen for you.
Even if we’re fully booked, we will do what we can to find a spot for you by either adding time for an urgent matter, adding you to our cancellation list or even just to advise you on what you can be doing to help it.
